Managed to get into a closed event in Paris where Anthropic’s CEO — Dario Amodei — was speaking. Overall he pretty quickly retold his latest blog post, but dropped an excellent spoiler on what to expect from Anthropic’s new model. I’ll write more later once the event wraps up.
Update: well, so Dario gave a fairly detailed example that a person chooses for themselves when to think through a task and when to answer fast. And he’s very surprised that there are “thinking” models and there are ones that supposedly answer right away. He hinted that in Anthropic’s new model, the model itself will decide whether to think or not. That’s exactly what’s needed. At least someone isn’t doing everything just to ship for the sake of benchmark metrics.

Удалось попасть на закрытый ивент в Париже, где выступал CEO Anthropic - Dario Amodei. В целом он достаточно бегло пересказал свою статью в блоге последнюю, но дал отличный спойлер что ожидать от новой модели Anthropic. Попозже напишу как ивент закончится.
Update: ну что ж Дарио привел достаточно развернутый пример того, что человек сам выбирает когда думать над задачей, а когда отвечать быстро. И он очень удивлен что есть «думающие» модели и есть которые мол отвечают сразу. Он намекнул что в новой модели от Anthropic модель будет сама принимать решение думать или нет. Это прям то что надо. Хоть кто-то не делает все ради того, чтобы выкатиться ради метрик на бенчах.
