The guys put out a study on how AI is being used right now and what its economic contribution is (though here I didn’t really get it). The numbers are extremely juicy. I’ll attach the little pictures.
Key takeaways:
- most usage (36%) of AI goes to tasks related to technical documentation etc and software development (who would’ve thought, right?)
- a slight bias toward not full automation, but so-called augmentation of tasks, that’s when you check or supplement a task with AI (I think the gap in favor of augmentation will grow a lot)
- most of the tasks being solved are categorized as mid/high-income professions. And basically nothing with the lowest- and highest-paid roles. Here I think it’s just a skew from the audience that uses their Claude. Unlikely that janitors or CEOs are entrusting their tasks to AI. For now.
Highly recommend reading it, it gives a lot of insights both on areas of application and on what can actually work.
I still think:
- full automation via agents is a long way off even for simple tasks (see how “quickly” self-driving cars entered everyday life)
- more and more use will be in augmenting tasks and improving outcomes (a la a helper tool)
- agents == evil, basic automations are dope (separate blocks in processes, latency, quality of certain decisions — basically swapping an old tech for a new one)

Ребята выпустили исследование как же используется AI сейчас и каков его экономический вклад (хотя тут я не очень понял). Цифры крайне занимательные. Картиночки приложу.
Основные выводы:
- большая часть использования(36%) AI приходится на задачи связанные с technical documentation etc и software development (кто бы мог подумать, да?)
- небольшой скос в сторону именно не полной автоматизации, а так называемой аугументации задач, это когда вы проверяете или дополняете задачу с помощью AI (я думаю разрыв в сторону аугументации будет расти очень сильно)
- большая часть задач которые решаются категоризированы к профессиям среднего/высокого достатка. И практически ничего с самыми низкими и высоко оплачиваемыми ролями. Тут я считаю просто скос из-за аудитории, которая использует их Claude. Вряд ли дворники или CEO доверяют свои задачи AI. Пока что.
Крайне советую прочесть, дает много инсайтов как и по областям применения и того, что действительно может работать.
Я все так же считаю:
- полная автоматизация с помощью агентов будет очень нескоро даже простых задач (см как же быстро вошли в жизнь self driving cars)
- все больше применения будет в аугументации задач и улучшении результатов (а-ля инструмент помощи)
- агенты == зло, базовые автоматизации круть (отдельные блоки в процессах, latency, качество определенных решений - условно замена старой технологии на новую)
