You’re with an AR/VR expert. Or, in short, my thoughts:
- the name has PRO in it and the price is obviously way too high for a mass user. Which means the target market isn’t you and me.
- a release at a dev conference means the goal of this release is to slowly take over the dev market, because that’s the point: the device won’t be mass-market anytime soon, but when it does go mass, it’ll need a ton of adapted content and software (which just doesn’t exist right now), and therefore you need a lot of developers and partners (especially ad ones, who’ll be shoving car ads into your entire house)
- the presentation overall is very strong, the company’s focus on end users is tracked extremely clearly, the ecosystem really shows its power, it makes sense. It’s the only ecosystem in the world of devices and software and it works.
- still not entirely honest 4K per eye, still questions about what the quality will actually be and whether it’ll make you nauseous, still questions about 2 hours of battery life (won’t even last for a normal movie, let alone a flight)
- and the most important thing is that it’s not the first gen that should sell, but the second. They made it stylish and now we’re waiting for big improvements by 2030 to finally feel like we’re in a movie from the future.

С вами эксперт по AR/VR. Или кратко мои мысли:
- в названии стоит PRO и цена явно очень высокая для массового пользователя. А значит целевой рынок не мы с вами.
- релиз на конфе для разработчиков, а значит цель данного релиза по чуть чуть занимать рынок разработки ведь в этом суть, девайс станет массовым нескоро, но когда станет нужно много адаптированного контента и софта (которого сейчас просто нет) и поэтому нужно много разработчиков и партнеров (особенно рекламных, которые будут вам на весь дом вставлять рекламу машины)
- презентация в целом очень сильная, крайне четко прослеживается фокус компании на конечных пользователях, экосистема по-настоящему показывает свою силу, в ней есть смысл. Это единственная в мире экосистема из устройств и софта и она работает.
- все еще не совсем честные 4к на глаз, все еще вопросы какое там будет качество и не будет ли тошнить, все еще вопросы к 2 часам работы от батареи (даже на норм фильм не хватит не говоря уж о полете)
- ну и самое важное чтобы продавалось не первое поколение устройств, а второе. Стильно сделали и мы ждем больших улучшений к 2030 чтобы наконец почувствовать себя в фильме из будущего.
