Let’s talk about nostalgia.

Let’s talk about nostalgia. I have a hypothesis that a lot of consumer social services in the future will be built around the feeling of nostalgia.

What’s the trick here? We’re stockpiling a huge, massive amount of memories in our phones; for gen z basically every day of their lives is documented either in messengers or in photos and videos. And when it hits you, you want to go back, feel the same things. So yeah, that’s where the entry point for a new product will be. And as we know, the life moment matters when new companies show up.

Facebook — you’re going to uni.
Discord — you’re going on a raid.
LinkedIn — you’re looking for a job.

Basically I think nostalgia and working with it is one of the few strong use cases for VR. And it’s massively underestimated.

Facebook -
Discord -
