Sunday thoughts. Long story short: putting effort into a product manager career is, in my view, one of the worst directions in tech right now. Zero protection from risks, the potential upsides are there then not there then boom, new rules of the game again. Almost all career growth boils down to one skill, “leadership,” and one trait: “I take risks — I don’t break along the way.” All the practices and advice go stale so fast there’s no time to learn new stuff while you’re still trying to dig through the old.

So I suggest digging toward:
- leadership
- tech skills to do something (basically, building something concrete with your own hands, at least prototypes you’re not embarrassed to use)

- leadership
- tech skills to do something
